Five Fundamental Realities of Small Business Online

One of my favorite non-fiction authors is Robert Ringer, a mass-market libertarian of sorts, who affected much of my thinking as a young man. To this day, I often find myself not only using his ideas/philosophies, but remembering that the concepts came from him.

This particular Ringer dictum has stuck with me as a guiding light since I first read it...

Reality isn't the way you wish things to be, nor the way they appear to be, but the way they actually are. Either you acknowledge reality and use it to your benefit, or it will automatically work against you.

Network Marketing. The Internet.
Hand-in-Glove Fit, or Catch-22?

Yes, these two concepts, the Internet and Network Marketing, should go together, but instead, most MLMers, or Network Marketers (NM), have not realized the near-infinite networking and lead-generating potential of the Web.

As an NMer, if you want an online presence, you're required to build a replicated site offered by your MLM company. And then, when the site brings no leads, you're forced to buy high priced but overused MLM leads that have zero conversion rates.

Then there's the three foot rule. You're taught by your upline to speak about your opportunity to everyone within a three foot radius of you -- family, friends, complete strangers. This often leads to embarrassment, rejection, and humiliation.

It does not have to be that way.
