Every day, we all make certain sub-optimal 20-80 decisions, in business and in life.
This all-too-human phenomenon is especially true once you "finish" the 10 DAYS of the SBI! Action Guide. The Guide really should keep you on the right track in those all-important early days. But...
The more your site grows, the more you learn, and the more options you have. The more possible directions (even if you shut out all the noise) arise. And if you're not careful, it's easy to choose the direction you want to do, not the one you need to do. (We all tend to do what we like.)
So, a suggestion...
Put a weekly reminder (I tend to ignore daily reminders) on your computer's calendar alarm...
"What's MY 80-20 Core This Week?"
For example, I have seen many sites with terrific traffic who still rely on AdSense when there are soooooooo many great ways to monetize better. AdSense is like our "training wheels" builder, a great starter kit for turning traffic into money. But pushing beyond your comfort barrier and finding someone to Joint Venture with (you have the traffic, they have the product), or setting up a finder's fee arrangement, or developing your own e-book (etc.) can be so lucrative.
So...
"What's Your 80-20 Core This Week?"
Answering that question correctly is probably the second most important element that leads to success.
What's #1?
Persistence. (You knew I was going to say that, right?). If you apply that persistence to the correct areas (by answering the 80-20 question correctly), ah...
Now, you are, as my mom used to say, "cooking with gas."
All the best,
