The Two Big Similarities of Golf and SBI!
Ken's Blog
I was reading an SBI! forum thread that got me thinking about how similar SBI! and golf are.
I was reminded of my first year in golf. I was going to Vancouver, Canada on business. My brother-in-law lives there and is a golf freak. He wanted to play with me.
Great! He brought a friend. And this little old guy joined us to round out the foursome.
Long story short?; My brother-in-law shot 93. I shot 88 (not too shabby on a tough, hilly course in Vancouver). Beat him by 5 strokes, something I never let him live down.
Oh yes, the point of the story...
That old guy whom we hardly noticed during the whole 18 holes? He "dinked" 150-200 yard drives down the fairway, then hit clean irons onto or near the green, and then never took more than 2 strokes to get it into the hole from on or off green.
He, um, shot 83. Yup. He cleaned us.
And that brings me to the two main points I was thinking about SBI! and golf...
1) You
In both SBI! and golf, you do not play against anyone, only yourself. Specifically, you play on the 6 inch fairway between your two ears.
No one is going to hit, push, bodycheck or tackle you. So don't worry about how big, strong, and sharp-looking your golf competitors look. They can't control you physically.
Only you can control yourself and your outcome.
Sort of like those smarter-than-thou Webmasters who can talk technical rings around you and develop a sensational L&F while you're still doing keyword research...
What should you do about them?
Fuhgeddaboud'em.
Do your thing (follow the SBI! Action Guide!) and you'll outperform at least 9 out of 10 as they keep trying "the next big thing."
2) The ball
In golf, the ball sits there. No one is going to serve it at 150 MPH. So you are not only in control of yourself (#1), but also in control of the ball (#2).
Many golfers never really deeply understand this. There is no hurry. That ball is not being served. Perfect your technique, become a good ball-striker. Anyone really can shoot 80.
So why don't they? Bad coaching. Wrong clubs.
On the Web, the golf ball is (Content

PREsell
Monetize).
Get that e-business golf ball right and there is no option -- you will succeed.
Why? Because you have the right approach, the right "clubs," and a terrific network of friends in the SBI! forums and SBI! Coaches to help.
You only have to master C
T
P
M.
Once you can strike that ball well, you succeed.
All the best,
