How Much Money Is "Old-School" MLM Costing You?

There seems to be many hidden costs when you do MLM the old-school way. From start-up inventory fees to the associated costs of motivation seminars, expenses seem to really add up. In some cases/companies, YOU seem to be their real business, not the selling of actual goods to real customers.

Contrast that with what seems logical when it comes to what good Network Marketing companies should do...

  • provide a great product for you to sell to end-customers, who really like the product

  • provide all sorts of free information (strategies, etc.) and tools to enable you to succeed

  • not oblige you to pay anything as you build your business.

The affiliate model works this way and if you think about it, InterNETwork Marketing (via your website) is affiliate marketing with more than two levels.

Network Marketing - What Is Your Most Wanted Response?

Part two of our Network Marketing series revealed what it takes to succeed online as a network marketer... build an information rich content site that attracts targeted visitors every day. Give your visitors what they are looking for (high quality information) and they will call you.

The dynamics are reversed. Instead of you chasing after potential customers or leads, your pre-qualified website visitors contact you because they want more information. The battle is half won already... however, there are still some pitfalls to avoid.

Let's look at an example to illustrate...

Imagine you're a 55 year old male with a prostate problem, and you've just joined Melaleuca (a solidly run company). You've read a lot about prostatism so share this knowledge by creating a terrific site with this theme.

Develop a website blueprint for your site and fill it with Keyword-Focused Content Pages (KFCPs). You'll attract targeted free traffic from the Search Engines (SEs) -- your own pre-qualified leads who come to you, not the other way around. The content credentializes you as a sharing, generous expert, by OVERdelivering quality information in response to a SE query, about a problem that concerns your visitor.

Network Marketing - The Secret To Success

The first article in our Network Marketing series discussed why so many network marketers struggle online... because they don't have the right tools and strategies to win new leads and sales.

What Is the Right Way to Success?

Let's talk about who succeeds in Network Marketing offline and then move to a discussion about online success...

Successful offline marketers are extroverted, ebullient people who can approach others easily and naturally introduce them to the opportunities offered by their respective businesses. These folks build large personal networks -- they execute what is called the "30 foot rule" effortlessly. (This means that anyone within 30 feet is a potential prospect!) They approach people in bank lines, talk to their seatmates in airplanes, play golf as singles... they network like mad.

Unfortunately, most people can barely approach their own small network of friends and family (what's called the "warm circle of contacts"). They can barely gather enough courage to approach their "warm circle" let alone that "30 foot circle of strangers." And that's a critical reason why most fail.

It's been interesting watching the Network Marketing industry try to figure out the Net. You'd think that if any industry could figure out the networking power of the Net fast, it would be this one.

Yes, most Network Marketing companies and their associates do recognize the potential offered by the Net (initially, many predicted it would serve as the ultimate recruitment tool). But they have, in large part, been unsuccessful in generating results of any kind -- either as sales, or as leads.
